This is what happens!!!

Hey there, I hope you all had a great week!  It's Friday, and I'm happy!

Today I have something to show you that is not my normal style.  I challenged myself to give it a try, and I think I like the outcome.  I may need to do this from time to time.

I've made cards in the past using a "Monochromatic" theme, excluding skin and hair.... but NEVER have I attempted to do an ENTIRE CARD, INCLUDING, Skin and Hair to be only shades of brown.... Sort of like an old photo....  So THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS when I attempt it!

A very dear friend of mine has a birthday coming up.  And yes it's a man.  Who says you can't give a man a card that has a girl holding a flower on it?  He loves gardening etc, so why not?
I chose to add twine instead of lace or ribbon, and a bow rather than pretty flowers, so it had more of a "manly" look to it!

I colored this sweet Little Rapunzel with Copics, using ONLY Earth Shades.  I really love that way this turned out.  The papers I used are from K&Company, and were the perfect paper combination for such a "vintage" style card.

I hope you've been inspired to give this coloring technique a try.  It's not as hard as it seems.  I admit I was a little intimidated by the idea, but it worked out quite well.  I'm glad I tried it.
