Little Friends

Hello and good morning everyone, I am so honoured being Guest Designer for the next three months. Today I am showing you my newest make with one of the gorgeous Digital Images from the Elisabeth Bell Digital Collection. I have used 'Little Friends'. Isn't she just the cutest with sweet birdy on her hand? I had fun to color her. I used Copics for her coloration.

Thank you so much for your visit. Have a happy day and bye for now. See you soon.
Hugs, Karina

Little Friends

Hiya! It's Linda here today and I'm sharing a little inspiration with 'Little Friends'. She just soooo sweet, love the little bird. I found these papers in my stash which I thought went perfectly with her, so I coloured her to match with my distress ink markers.

Hope you like her, you can find more details about how I made this card, along with extra pics on my blog stickywithglitter.blogspot.co.uk

That's all from me, until next time, happy crafting!

Linda :) xx

Little Friends

Morning all. Lisa here to share a card with you today.

This was made using the digi Little Friends

Little Friends (5)

I got a bit carried away and coloured up this image without selecting what DP I wanted to use. So instead of spending ages hunting through my stash for the best match I made my own with the same markers I used to colour the image.

For more info on the card please pop over to my blog www.craftingbelle.blogspot.com

Dotty Background Tutorial

Hello All. Hope you are enjoying the weekend. We are are as we have some lovely weather here in the UK at the moment.

Thanks to the wonderful sunshine I haven’t been in the craft room for a couple of days so I have something a little different to show you today. I love sitting outside with the children colouring in and watching them play so I have a lot of images coloured ready for making into cards and I thought I would share how I do a dotty sky background.

Here is a finished image (Sweetest Surprises) with this technique, I think the dotty background gives a whimsical look:

Sweet Surprises (1)

I was so engrossed in my colouring I forget to take pictures of each step on the above image. So what better excuse than to colour up another cutie, the following uses Little Friends.

Little Friends (1)Little Friends (2)Little Friends (3)Little Friends (4)Little Friends (5)Little Friends (6)Little Friends (7)Little Friends (8)Little Friends (9)

  1. I use Copics and I start with my darkest marker B24 I apply random dots all around the outline of the image. I place the dots closer together next to the image and space them apart as they get further from the image. I also press a little harder closer to the image to create slightly larger dots.
  2. I repeat with my next darkest marker B23 this time taking the dot’s further into the white area. And then repeat again with B91 and B00.
  3. I decide on where my sunshine will be coming from (on this image upper left) and using the same process as above have placed yellow dots using Y02 and Y00.
  4. Last thing on the sky is to take your lightest blue marker B0000 and lightly stroke upwards to soften the dots. Repeat with your lightest yellow Y0000 stroking the colour downwards from the top right corner.

I have also added some grass and flowers but this post is already a little long so will show you that another time!

The finished image already to be made into a card:

Little Friends (13)

You’ll probably notice I haven’t coloured the main image yet. I like to leave it until after I have picked DP and then I know what colours will look best.

Hope this has been of help to some of you.

Thanks for reading

Morning EB fans!

It's Lisa and I’m thrilled to be back here as a Guest Digi Bell once again! Time sure passes quickly…… I was pregnant with my youngest last time I was here and now she is two years old!!  A big thank you to all the girls for having me back to play along. I love Elisabeth’s designs and I’m so eager to see what new releases there will be during my term.

My inspiration today uses Little Friends

At the moment I have left the card sentiment free, that way I can decide at a later date what occasion it will be for.

Little Friends Guest DT Card

Good morning all, today I have another card for you featuring one of the lovely Elisabeth Bell's Digital Images.

I decided to go all summery with this one and this image just reminds me of my daughter and my niece who are the same age all but 5 months between them. They were inseparable as children and would always want an outfit the other had, to the point that my sister in law and I would buy two of something if it was for either of them lol. As a family we always holidayed together right up until our children were teenagers and would constantly get the 'are they twins?' questions.

So I went Elisabeth Bell's 'Little Friends' image which can be found HERE and tied it together with nice pastel colours and a summer sentiment. Printed the image on my new laser printer and then cut out on my cameo, along with the sentiment. The papers are from an old Papermania Spots & Stripes Pastel Collection.

A closer look at the image itself.

More details on my blog HERE.
