Wish Big!

Hello friends!!  I am so very excited to be here posting!  I have been a long-time lover of Elisabeth Bell designs and it is with great pleasure that I can post something here to share with you! :)
For my first posting, this is a creation I'd like to show you: (click for larger view)
I picked out this yummy Sweet Sundae image from Elisabeth Bell Designs Digital store!
This image takes me back through my childhood to a local place that had birthday parties for children with pizza! Towards the front of the restaurant, they had this brilliant old-fashioned looking ice cream shoppe and a bar to sit at with tall chairs like this one.  It has long since been torn down, but this image sure takes me there, so I hope you enjoy it as much as I do! :)

Purple and berry tones are some of my favorite colors to work with and of course I wanted to use them for my first creation here.  The papers, distressing and doodling give her a bit of "Vintage" feel too.

I've taken my creation to another level using the digital image that perhaps some people aren't aware or simply forget that you can accomplish this with digital images.  For one, I've used the "out of the box" technique by creating a circle around the image, but cutting out the top portion of her head so that it sticks out beyond the circle.  For the second part, take a closer look at her purple colored apron.  Do you see the resemblance with the patterned paper along the side of the card?  I printed out the digital image again on the patterned paper, but I've cut out the apron only and attached it to the colored image.  I've also done some shading on the patterned paper apron to give a realistic look.

So to see all of the challenges I created this card for, please stop by my blog to check things out!  Thanks for stopping in over here to see my first post!  I hope you enjoyed it! HUGS

P.S.  Be sure to join along with us on the DigiBell DT blog hop this Friday - Nov. 19th!  Sure to be lots of inspiring creations using Elisabeth Bell Designs!  *Also a reminder to join us for the monthly challenge at the Elisabeth Bell's World challenge blog...there's still time to play along!
