Sweet Sundae

Good afternoon today is my turn to post on the Digi Bells Blog and I have chosen Sweet Sundae to use for my card today, a simple creation as it is for a member of staff and everyone has to sign it....

I  have coloured her with Inktense pencils as I have fallen out of love with my markers, so been playing with pencils, I have added liquid pearls and stardust to and around my image and the papers are Nitwits Always & Forever and are slightly distressed and torn....

Thank you so very much for looking today biggest of hugs Love Pops x x x

Sweet, Sweet Sundae!

Hello!  It's Susan and I hope everyone is getting ready for a fabulous weekend!  Here in the United States it's Memorial Day Weekend and it's to honor those who have served in r lost their lives in the military.  I proudly served the the Navy for 12 1/2 years and had the best time!  Well, enough about me, so let's get to this sweet image created by the incredible Elisabeth Bell from her Digital Collection!

My girls always loved ice cream when they were little but no one like my youngest daughter, Nichole!  She made an event out of eating all her cold, sweet dessert and would sometimes try and lick the bowl (but only when we were at home!).  She put her heart and soul into her favorite treat, and enjoyed every single bite, just like this sweetie, Sweet Sundae!  You can find her here.

This sweetie pie is colored with copics and I added some Diamond Glaze to her cherry to make it pop!  The papers are from a precious K&Company mat pack and gems are from Studio G.  The ribbon came from my stash.

Isn't she just a doll?  I've got to tell you that the entire time I was coloring her up, I was craving some chocolate ice cream!  But me, I like the soft serve best!  Mark you calendars and make sure to stop back by tomorrow for another new image we're all so excited to present to you!  Believe me, the cuteness will overwhelm you!  See you then!

Hugs,

Susan

A little bit of Sweetness for you

Hello there, Lynda here with a "Sweet" card to share with you today.  I hope that it helps to put a smile on your face.

I couldn't resist such an adorable image, she's perfect for this time of the year, wouldn't you agree?  Personally I have a secret love for Sherbet, rather than ice cream, so that is what I based the colors of this card on.

Please visit my blog for more information about the card. You can find "Sweet Sundae" and other sweet digis by visiting  Elisabeth Bells Digital Collection.

The June Blog hop ends soon, and winners will be announced right here tomorrow, so if you haven't had a chance to join us on the hop, why not get started right now?  You can find the hop list and information at the top of this blog.

Sweet Wishes....

Good Morning! (Or Afternoon)
I am a little late today as I wanted to make
sure you all seen Jo's card from yesterday!
She was a little late in putting it up so I figured
I would go a little later as it is so gorgeous!!!

Anyways, today I am showcasing, Sweet Sundae.
I needed to make a card quick for my niece and this
one was perfect for a birthday, I thought anyway!

Surprise I did not use any crackle paint!!! GASP!! LOL
but I ran out of it and need to get to the store today!! haha
Here is a close-up of the sweet image:
(Colored with distress inks and twinkling h20's)

I always love this shot the best because it shows the most
accurate color! Wish I could get it in the stand up picture!!
I tend to get a washed out one here in the Texas sun!

Well that is it from me today!!
Thanks so much for your visit and I hope your
weather is lovely wherever you are today!
(Here in the states it has been absolutely crazy!!!)

Blog Hop Winners and a little bit of Sweetness....

Greetings Elisabeth Bell Fans,
Can you believe that the month have May only has a couple of days left in it? Wow, the month seems to have flown by.

Did you all enjoy this months blog hop?  Isn't "Ducky" just the cutest little guy you've ever seen?  I just love his bubble bath and old style bath tub.  What an absolute doll.

I bet you are wondering who our blog hop winners are....  Considering the fact that no one entered our challenge portion of the blog hop, that means there will only be 2 winners this month.

Drum Roll Please.....

Nightowl... Come on Down... You are one of the lucky winners of "Ducky"
and next....

Heidy... Congratulations, you are also a lucky girl to have won "Ducky" for your very own.

Ladies, please contact me at Lumbkin@gmail.com and I will get your digi sent right out to you.

Now how about a little bit of sweetness? Today I have a little something to show you, just because I couldn't resist the cuteness. It's that time of year, and everyone loves a little sweet treat that is nice and cold.

I thought it would be fun to color "Sweet Sundae" from Elisabeth Bells Digital Gallery.  I tell you, Elisabeth Bell is one AMAZING artist, isn't she?  No matter what she draws next, I'm sure to fall in love with it.  I know that these are just drawings, but I honestly feel like I know these little dolls personally.  They are so life like, aren't they?

The inside of my card is fairly simple, with some birthday wishes....

I just love using shades of pink and blue.  I colored my image with Copic's, and did a bit of distressing too.  The background paper or shall I say the card base was stamped with some accessory stamps also designed by Elisabeth Bell, for Whiff of Joy.  If I can remember correctly, the little ice cream cones were part of WoJ's 2009 Summer Stamp Kit.   The flowers I used, are from Wild Orchid Crafts, with a little bit of scrap beading tucked in behind.

For a little more of Elisabeth Bells Beautiful artwork, you can find this on my blog along with something brand new....

Thanks so much for stopping in for a visit.  Wishing you all a wonderful weekend.

Today I have a very fun Birthday card to show you.

I have used Sweet Sundae and she can be bought at Elisabeth's Digital Gallery

The fun part of this card is I used ALL SCRAPS from my scrap bag.. I LOVE IT when that happens. LOL..

SWEET SUNDAE

Good day everyone!!!
Today it's my turn to post and I have picked the very sweet little image called:

Sweet Sundae
and she can be found in the Elisabeth Bell Designs Digial Collection.

I have done this card as simple as possible today. Simple is VERY hard for me to do!! LOL.. I am one that just has to keep messing until the details are worked to death..LOL. But not day so this was a true challenge for me... :o)

Colored my image with my copic markers and watercolors pencils.

I have used Jubilee Magenta Accent papers and Daisy D's Veranda Dot. Bazzill cardstocks has been used to layer.

I have used some of my favotie embelies: Favorite pink/white checked ribbon, paper lace by K&Company, roses and of course pink pearls.

I have sewn my card and used my spellbinders round nesties to cut around the image.

********************

Just a reminder that today is the first day of a new challenge over at the Elisabeth Bell World Challenge Blog. I hope you will have time to stop by and check it out!!

I would love to see what you can come up with and join us!!

Wish Big!

Hello friends!!  I am so very excited to be here posting!  I have been a long-time lover of Elisabeth Bell designs and it is with great pleasure that I can post something here to share with you! :)
For my first posting, this is a creation I'd like to show you: (click for larger view)
I picked out this yummy Sweet Sundae image from Elisabeth Bell Designs Digital store!
This image takes me back through my childhood to a local place that had birthday parties for children with pizza! Towards the front of the restaurant, they had this brilliant old-fashioned looking ice cream shoppe and a bar to sit at with tall chairs like this one.  It has long since been torn down, but this image sure takes me there, so I hope you enjoy it as much as I do! :)

Purple and berry tones are some of my favorite colors to work with and of course I wanted to use them for my first creation here.  The papers, distressing and doodling give her a bit of "Vintage" feel too.

I've taken my creation to another level using the digital image that perhaps some people aren't aware or simply forget that you can accomplish this with digital images.  For one, I've used the "out of the box" technique by creating a circle around the image, but cutting out the top portion of her head so that it sticks out beyond the circle.  For the second part, take a closer look at her purple colored apron.  Do you see the resemblance with the patterned paper along the side of the card?  I printed out the digital image again on the patterned paper, but I've cut out the apron only and attached it to the colored image.  I've also done some shading on the patterned paper apron to give a realistic look.

So to see all of the challenges I created this card for, please stop by my blog to check things out!  Thanks for stopping in over here to see my first post!  I hope you enjoyed it! HUGS

P.S.  Be sure to join along with us on the DigiBell DT blog hop this Friday - Nov. 19th!  Sure to be lots of inspiring creations using Elisabeth Bell Designs!  *Also a reminder to join us for the monthly challenge at the Elisabeth Bell's World challenge blog...there's still time to play along!
