Merry Christmas everyone, today is my turn to share a card with you all. Today I'm sharing my GDT inspiration I made for Elizabeth Bells World Challenge that started today. I used sweet Little Rapunzel from the Elisabeth Bell Digital Collection. Here is my card:

Summer Daze

Good morning!  Happy Wednesday!  It's Carla here and it's my turn to post some inspiration for you here on the Digi Bells DT blog. 

 

My card today features the adorable Summer Daze from the Elisabeth Bell Digital Collection.

 

 

I colored the image with Copics and added a bit of glitter to the little fish and the flowers in her hair.  Lots of layers and a fun sun made from tulle trim and a button finished my card.  More details can be found on my blog HERE.

Summer Daze

Good Morning everyone, it's Carol from the Guest DT here and it's my turn to share a card on the blog featuring one of Elisabeth Bells wonderful digis. Today I've decided to feature Summer Daze:

I can imagine these two have so much fun fishing their summer days away. I wonder if they know what to do if they catch a fish. I remember when my little boy was four, my husband and I took him fishing and I caught a tiny little silver fish - I was quite excited, but my husband just told me "we were only going fishing, you weren't supposed to catch anything". Oh well, it was fun anyway.

 I just adore this cute little fairy and made a girly card which I know my granddaughter will love.

Ohh ladies, ladies... Did we have hard time deciding on our new GDTs!?!?! Thank you soooo much to all who applied - it really was a tough choice! It was top quality through out all the entries.

However we had to decide and so we did and these are the three lovely ladies that will join us for the the coming three months from August till October, in random order...

Creative Genius

Happy Friday everyone! It's my turn to post today and boy did I have fun! I adore this image, such a joy to make something with it, don't you just adore how Elisabeth manages to capture little moments in time with her art? When you have good quality digi stamps it enables  you to create beautiful projects very quickly - look how simple this card is, one paper, a couple of die-cuts and flowers and bingo!...

I think sometimes we can over embellish and get carried away. Go on, try and simplify your next card and see what a different look you can achieve.  You can see more of what I did with this on my blog. Have a great weekend everyone!

So today I decided to do something a little different and go way back to my roots. I was born with a pencil in my hand apparently so I decided to colour this sweet sweet image in a pure and simple HB pencil - if you have an image you adore try doing this, it really lets the image just speak for itself...Creative Genius! And that is the name of this adorable image from Elisabeth's gallery...

Nikky here and it's my first ever official Digibells post! Woohoo! I'm so excited to be Guest designing for the team, I just love Elisabeth's designs and being part of such an inspirational and talented bunch of designers here at Digibells, it's such an honour to be chosen to join the team! For my first post I decided I wanted to take a picture for posterity so I really had to use the 'Click' image which is one of my favourites...

Eine Holzbox habe ich für Euch, die einer lieben Bastelfreundin als Aufbewahrung für ihre Bänder dient. Es ist eine umgebaute Teebox, die ich im Euroladen günstig bekam. 

Schnell Sushistäbchen an den Innenseiten angebracht, das Lochbrett aus dem Baumarkt draufgelegt und fertig ist die Box. 

Gepimpt habe ich sie mit dem supertollen Motiv Curly locks Kiki von Elisabeth Bell´s collection . Weitere wunderschöne Digis von ihr kannst Du HIER kaufen.

Diesmal habe ich mir eine Schneekugel gepimpt - sie steht auf meiner Fensterbank und oft schaue ich mir sie an und schüttel sie. Der rieselnde Schnee sieht sooooooo schön aus :-)

Something with just a few folds! ha ha

Hiya - Can you believe it's Sunday already?  I've been free from my job since Tuesday for the Thanksgiving holidays, and already tomorrow I have to return to work.  YUCK!!!  Dreading it already!  

Today I have a very unique card to show you.  I saw this card and tutorial on the StampArtic Blog, and of course I just HAD to try it....  It's not perfect, but if I ever do this style again, I know where I might want to modify things a bit...  BUT WOW - This was a job, but it was SOOOO Worth it!

I used Little Rapunzel from Elisabeth Bell's Digi collection, simply because she is just absolutely beautiful, and I never get tired of her!

This is what you would see when you first look at the card, 

(for some reason the paper flowers look a bit dark for this card, but in real life they do match quite well),  the golden colors, are actually more like a soft beige with a hint of yellow - and the darker pinkish color actually is the same exact color as the darker pinks on the papers I used.  Very strange indeed... I wonder if it's because they are coated in modge-podge which tends to darken things in photo's)  who knows...  LOL

But when you untie it, this is what you get:

 

HOLY COW - Crazy, right???  Yes it really does open up all the way flat, but taking a picture of it that way just wasn't as interesting to see.  I left the writing area blank, because I haven't yet decided what I want to use this card for.  Maybe a birthday card, maybe a Thinking of you Card, I don't know yet.

You can find the Tutorial here! I had so much fun with this one.  If anyone else ever tries this technique, I'd love to see it!  I'm sure there are even more variations to this style.  One of these days when I have lots of time on my hands, I just might play around and see what I can come up with.

The papers I used for this card, and for the flowers, are from K&Company, and my image is colored using my favorite coloring medium - Copics!  =)
